Don't worry... this was the parka's first and last appearance. It's ridiculousness is unbefitting a dog as regal as Rosie.
I'm not sure of NPR's holiday information source. But I am also looking forward to National Goof Off Day, Children's Book Day, and National Ice Cream Day - all on the their calendar. I'm not sure how they overlooked National Bunsen Burner Day on March 31. Everyone knows that one.

And Rosie ROCKS that parka. High praise from one who usually is anti-dress for pooches. She's awesome... and slowly changing my world view.

I think you are right - Rosie deserves something more chic, but Oh my goodness I think she'd look cute in anything. I love that picture of her feet and the striped pjs in your other post.
