An Easter Quilt

I knew crafting had reached a new low at the Cabin when, on the same day, I bought a gross of paper lunch sacks so that Caroline could make puppets and Emily said "Mom, you haven't sewn in a long time". That's it.

I cleared the kitchen counter and hauled all my sewing junk into the kitchen, much to G's chagrin and at the expense of every meal for the last two days. But. . . A. it's really cold in the sun room/sewing studio right now, and B. I don't trust Rosie to hang out alone for long periods of time.

Although I am calling the quilt an Easter quilt, it is more accurately titled: Amy Butler's Charm Quilt, Variation on a Theme (as a child I took 10 years of piano lessons, and I loved any piece that had variation on a theme in the title. . . . .I thought the piece, and myself by extension, was more sophisticated) However, the patchwork appliques that I cut are egg-shaped. . .and chances are I won't finish it until Easter. So "Easter Quilt" it is.

I LOVE the Easter Quilt!

If *I* started now, it'd be a Summer quilt. It's just how life is going right now :)
